Prices
Prices shown are current at time of publication. Due to market fluctuations they are subject to change without notice. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Prices do not include transportation or hazardous materials charges or sales, use, excise and other similar taxes. You will be responsible for all such charges and taxes.

Minimum Order
Our minimum order is twenty-five dollars ($25). Orders for less than this amount are subject to a ten dollar ($10) special handling charge.
Method of Shipment
All shipments are F.O.B. origin and routed via UPS, Federal Express and Motor Freight. Dispatch times may vary according to availability and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Title and risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery of your order to the carrier. We are not liable for any delays, loss or damage in transit. Transportation charges are prepaid and added to the invoice or applied at checkout. We can accommodate reasonable requests for preferred carriers and collect shipments if specified at the time that an order is placed. Government regulations may prohibit certain methods of transportation for specific products. All products are the responsibility of the customer once we deliver them to the carrier. All damage claims must be made by the customer to the carrier, and all invoices remain due and payable even if the order is damaged or lost in transit.
Shipment of Hazardous Materials
All shipments containing hazardous material are packaged, labeled, and marked in accordance with the Department of Transportation 49 CFR. Shipments via UPS are subject to regulations in the UPS Guide to Hazardous Materials. Federal Express and other air shipments are subject to IATA regulations. Additional charges for hazardous materials shipped via UPS or Federal Express apply.
Claims & Returns
Please inspect your order as soon as possible. If items are defective or missing, please contact our Customer Service Department immediately. You will be deemed to have accepted the products unless you notify us within 3 business days of any non-conforming order. Shipment damaged by freight companies must be reported to the carrier by the customer. All returns must be approved by our Customer Service Department. Any return not approved will be refused. Any returned product should be returned undamaged, with 6 months shelf life remaining, suitable for resale. Return shipments must be properly packaged and in compliance with all Department of Transportation and/or other regulations. Returns may be subject to a restocking charge. Custom orders are not returnable for credit.
Safety and Packaging
Solvents, mineral acids and Ammonium Hydroxide are available in PVC coated glass. Some solvents are also available in metal safety cans. Hydrochloric Acid, Acetic Acid and Ammonium Hydroxide are available in heavy-duty poly jugs.
Precautionary Labeling
All Reagents products are labeled to conform to OSHA, NFPA and DOT regulations. The absence of warnings should not be interpreted that the product has no risk of exposure. All chemicals should be handled only by qualified, trained professionals who are familiar with all potential hazards. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulation and ordinances applicable to the use, storage and transportation of chemicals and maintain in effect all required licenses, permissions, authorizations, consents and permits needed to carry out such obligation.
Warranty and Limitation of Liability
We warrant that our products materially conform to each’s published specifications (as of the date of purchase) and those contained on the product label. With respect to any claim by you against such warranty, we shall, in our sole discretion, either: (i) repair or replace such products (or the defective part) or (ii) credit or refund the price of such product at the pro rata contract rate provided that, if we so request, you shall, at our expense, return such product to us. THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE. Items in our catalog and on our website are for laboratory use only and are not intended for medical, drug, food or household use. We are not responsible for their misuse. All chemicals should be handled only by trained qualified personnel. The buyer takes the responsibility to determine the adequacy of the chemical for their intended use. All products are sold as is. EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE WE MAKE NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE. Products manufactured by a third party ("Third Party Product") may constitute, contain, be contained in, incorporated into, attached to or packaged together with, our products. Third Party Products are not covered by the warranty contained herein. For the avoidance of doubt, WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO ANY THIRD PARTY PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY (a) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY; (b) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (c) WARRANTY OF TITLE; OR (d) WARRANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY LOSS OF USE, REVENUE OR PROFIT, OR FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHETHER ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND NOTWITHSTANDING THE FAILURE OF ANY AGREED OR OTHER REMEDY OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, WHETHER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, EXCEED THE TOTAL OF THE AMOUNTS PAID TO US FOR THE PRODUCTS SOLD HEREUNDER. The limitation of liability set forth herein above shall not apply to (i) liability resulting from our gross negligence or willful misconduct and (ii) death or bodily injury resulting from our acts or omissions.
Quality and Traceability
Reagents is certified ISO 9001:2015 for the manufacture and distribution of fine chemicals and chemical solutions. The standards used to calibrate standardized solutions are traceable to NIST Standard Reference Materials (SRMs) if available. In the absence of NIST SRMs, the chemicals meet or exceed the A.C.S. specifications as stated in Reagent Chemicals, 11th Edition, American Chemical Society, 2017. The balances and volumetric glassware used in solution preparation are traceable to NIST. Balances are calibrated against certified Class S weights. Class A volumetric glassware is calibrated as stated in NBS publication NBSIR 74-461.
Grades of Chemicals
ACS - A chemical grade of highest purity that meets or exceeds purity standards set by American Chemical Society (ACS).
Reagent - High purity chemical for which no ACS specifications have been set that is suitable for use in many laboratory and analytical applications.
USP - A chemical grade of sufficient purity to meet or exceed requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP); acceptable for food, drug, or medical use; may be used for most laboratory purposes.
NF - A grade of sufficient purity to meet the standards of the National Formulary (NF).
Lab - A chemical grade of relatively high quality with exact levels of impurities unknown; usually pure enough for educational applications. Not pure enough to be offered for food, drug, or medicinal use of any kind.
Pure/CP - Also called purified or practical grade, and indicates good quality chemicals meeting no official standard; can be used in most cases for educational applications. Not pure enough to be offered for food, drug, or medicinal use of any kind.
Technical - Good quality chemical grade used for commercial and industrial purposes. Not pure enough for be offered for food, drug, or medicinal use of any kind.
Reagents Volumetric Solutions - Solutions are prepared with raw materials which meet or exceed requirements of the American Chemical Society. Where no ACS specifications exist, chemicals of highest purity available are used. All aqueous solutions are prepared using high purity, deionized water which meets requirements for ASTM type 1 Reagent Grade Water. Exacting production and quality control records are maintained providing traceability of raw materials. Lot samples are maintained for a minimum of two years. All solutions are guaranteed to meet label specifications. All solutions labels meet or exceed all ISO, DOT, and OSHA regulations and include the following information when applicable:
Applicability
These terms are the only terms which govern the sale of our products. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, if a written contract signed by both parties is in existence covering the sale of the products covered hereby, the terms and conditions of said contract shall prevail to the extent they are inconsistent with these terms. The accompanying invoice or sale confirmation and these terms comprise the entire agreement between the parties, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, negotiations, representations and warranties, and communications, both written and oral. These terms prevail over any of your general terms and conditions of purchase, if any, regardless whether or when you have submitted your purchase order or such terms. Fulfillment of your order does not constitute acceptance of any of your terms and conditions and does not serve to modify or amend these terms.
Miscellaneous
No waiver by us of any of the provisions of these terms is effective unless explicitly set forth in writing and signed by us. No failure to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right, remedy, power or privilege arising from these terms operates, or may be construed, as a waiver thereof. No single or partial exercise of any right, remedy, power or privilege hereunder precludes any other or further exercise thereof or the exercise of any other right, remedy, power or privilege.
We shall not be liable or responsible to you, nor be deemed to have defaulted or breached these terms, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of these terms when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts or circumstances beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, flood, fire, earthquake, explosion, governmental actions, war, invasion or hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or acts, riot, or other civil unrest, national emergency, revolution, insurrection, epidemic, lockouts, strikes or other labor disputes (whether or not relating to either party's workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, materials or telecommunication breakdown or power outage.
All matters arising out of or relating to these terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of North Carolina without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule (whether of the State of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than those of the State of North Carolina.
YOU ARE HEREBY AGREEING TO GIVE UP ANY RIGHTS TO LITIGATE CLAIMS IN A COURT OR BEFORE A JURY, OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO A CLAIM. OTHER RIGHTS THAT YOU WOULD HAVE IF YOU WENT TO COURT MAY ALSO BE UNAVAILABLE OR MAY BE LIMITED IN ARBITRATION.
ANY CLAIM, DISPUTE OR CONTROVERSY (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, WHETHER PRE-EXISTING, PRESENT OR FUTURE, AND INCLUDING STATUTORY, CONSUMER PROTECTION, COMMON LAW, INTENTIONAL TORT, INJUNCTIVE AND EQUITABLE CLAIMS) BETWEEN YOU AND US ARISING FROM OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO YOUR PURCHASE OF OUR PRODUCTS, WILL BE RESOLVED EXCLUSIVELY AND FINALLY BY BINDING ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with the Consumer Arbitration Rules (the "AAA Rules") then in effect, except as modified by these terms. The arbitrator will have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to arbitrability and/or enforceability of this arbitration provision, including any unconscionability challenge or any other challenge that the arbitration provision or these terms is void, voidable or otherwise invalid. The arbitrator will be empowered to grant whatever relief would be available in court under law or in equity. Any award of the arbitrator(s) will be final and binding on each of the parties and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. If any provision of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the unenforceable provision will be severed and the remaining arbitration terms will be enforced.
